things up a bit. Welcome to the all-new Typhus Music website! With many having loved
the original site, it was always going to be a tough ask to deliver a better, more flashy
more Typhantastic site. Asked why the need for a revamped site, Typhus said “I’m all
about keeping it fresh, and it given the love the site was getting we felt it was the greatest
form of respect for those supporters of the Typhus brand to refresh the website and give
them something bigger and better”.
The Typhus Music website gives a clear sense of what Typhus is all about and represents
the brand in the best possible way, in that it is slick, looks good and is an overall
impressive product.

Typhus shows Yfm love!
On Friday 2 March Typhus appeared on popular Johannesburg youth radio station Yfm,
where he he enjoyed much success on the charts with his it single “I’m That Boy”.
Typhus was interviewed alongside vocalist Donald (“I Deserve”) in what was a great
advert for South African radio. Hosted by the ever eloquent Zama Dube on the FaceOff
he appeared on the 11am to 12pm hot box slot. The interview was both interesting and
revealing, as Typhus “dropped the dime” on much of his personal life and musical
coming of age.
The interview focused on both artists background and musical journey’s to date. What
was clear is that Typhus is a lot more than just a rapper, but rather a multi-faceted
musician with a keen sense of self and a genuine interest in the well being of society as
a whole. His professional approaching, great command of the English language and
academic & street smarts always shine through irrespective of what he does, this is
especially evident in his interviews.

it allows you to connect with people, provoke thought and inspire imagination. When it
comes down to it, its about knowing what you’re about, who you are and what you
represent and making sure that message is shared with the listeners.” It’s clear the
Typhus brand is a growing force, and certainly a force to be taken seriously.

“I’m That Boy” Video Shoot A Celebration Of Greatness!
The idea behind the video was to show off the flamboyance with which Typhus delivers
his lyrics and visually express the content of the lyrics. Asked about his thoughts on the
shoot Typhus said, “it was quite amazing really, you’d expect with this being my third
music video I’d be used to it all and yet it felt like the first time all over again but different
in that the expectation is greater, the will to succeed is greater, and the hunger for
success is even more acute. I just hope that all the hard work put in by all involved
translates well on-screen and inevitably pays off”.
The video shoot was a great success and special thanks must go to sub-luminal films,
News Café Sandridge, College Campus Parktown and all the individuals involved in
making the shoot a success.
This video confirms Typhus as one of the fastest growing brands in South African music
and is sure to build on the success of the single.
